All activities have been inspired by one of the most widely recognised frameworks in positive psychology wellbeing studies, PERMA(H). Decades of research suggests that wellbeing can be improved by the presence in our lives of activities that relate to positive emotion, engagement, relationships, meaning, accomplishment, and health.
These are activities which generate emotions such as happiness, love, peace or humour.
These are activities that allow you to focus and feel absorbed in what you are doing.
Improving your connection with friends, family and, of course, with yourself.
Activities that relate to feeling connected to something greater than yourself generate meaning and purpose. This could be family time or spending time in nature.
A sense of accomplishment comes from completing a task and knowing you have done it well.
These activities may relate to physical health, nutrition, sleep or mental health, allowing you to improve all aspects of your wellbeing.
At the end of the challenge, I will send you a printable poster of all 28 activities, so you can pop it somewhere visible and re-do your favourite ones whenever your mood needs a little boost.
