Why?
As women, we know that we want something better for our daughter's hormonal health. We may have something to share with them but may get shut down because of her feelings of embarrassment, shame or disinterest. Or we might not simply know what to tell them.
What Is It?
Nurture Point has designed a self-paced course as a way to ease the often daunting process of transitioning into healthy and happy hormonal health for young women experiencing puberty and menstruation for the first time. It is designed for mothers and their daughters to go through a carefully developed 28-day journey to embracing their femininity and reproductive health. On the one hand, the course provides a private and safe environment for young girls to access the information they may feel too embarrassed to ask about, while building body literacy and confidence. On the other hand, the course provides reassurance for mothers as it gives them confidence that their girls will have the necessary tools and information as they become women.
How Does It Work?
We share what to expect, what’s normal and what we can be on the look-out for if things are not going to plan. Each week we deliver a science-based background of what’s happening, what symptoms can mean, recipes, shopping lists, referrals, lifestyle management techniques with interactive videos and bonus care packs to optimise hormonal health early on. These resources have helped hundreds of women embrace and embody good health much later in life. Our clients have said they wish they had known this information from the very beginning!
What If?
In clinical practice we often come across women experiencing difficulties with fertility, digestion, weight maintenance, hormonal balances and body literacy. When we take a comprehensive case history, we often find the early signs were present in the very beginning of the woman’s menstrual history. Symptoms may have been trivialised, ignored, or taken as normal despite there being plenty of interventions and supports available which could have helped. This course is designed to build a solid foundation for future thriving health and address potential issues ahead of time.
