Welcome!
Thanks for showing up. And for those of you who signed up for a newsletter so long ago you might not even remember doing so, a special thank you. I had no idea what seemed like such a simple endeavor – connecting with readers on a more personal level than Facebook – would require so much preplanning. Not to mention a learning curve that seemed to stretch so far over the horizon I passed the end of the rainbow on the way. (And if you’re wondering, there was no gold; there wasn't even a pot.)
I want to assure you that your email address is safe with me. My newsletter is distributed through Mailerlite, and my website is hosted by Wix. Both are reputable firms, as is BookFunnel, the company I'm using to download your digital copy of The Medicine Robe – winner of the 2020 Spur Award from the Western Writers of America for Best Short Story.
I'll be sending out a short newsletter every four to six weeks with updates on what I'm working on, what's on the horizon, books from other authors who I think you might enjoy, and a short piece on some little known historical tidbit from my research. If you ever decide you'd rather stop receiving these, you can always unsubscribe at the bottom of any page. But I hope you'll hang around a while and see what's coming up.
Thanks again, and don’t forget to download your free copy of The Medicine Robe. You'll get my first newsletter in a few days. When you've looked at it, drop me a note and let me know what you think. And if you find any glitches, please tell me about those, as well. I may have passed the end of the rainbow some time ago, but I'm still searching for the end of that learning curve.
