Ok, let's take a trip back in time, it's a long one (I'm not saying how long though!).
I started out in the working world self employed as a professional dancer but due to a diagnosis I had to leave the career I loved and found myself entering the world of 9-5 (well it was never really just that was it!). I spent years in Customer Service Management and Lean Processing until I made a huge decision in my life that changed everything.
In 2020 I adopted a little boy with additional needs and my life has never been the same since.
At the end of our first 12 months together I knew that he was not ready for me to return to work and leave him in the care of another stranger so I opened conversations about a phased return and was met with one answer and it wasn't the answer I was expecting.
So I made the next biggest decision of my life and I quit.
I was a single mum to a newly adopted little boy with additional needs, I had a mortgage to pay and no idea how I was going to navigate the next phase of my life. I became his carer and no employer I had ever worked for before would have been ok with the flexibility I needed to support him in the way he needed.
And that's how my business came to fruition.
I now help other SEN mums in business find a way to support their children physically, emotionally, and financially without the stress, pressure, and guilt of working for someone else.
I want you to experience the freedom and flexibility that working for yourself can bring. More times than I can count I've said to myself, I'm so glad I get to work when I want (or more importantly, when I don't/can't).
I want you to know that building your own business around raising a family is possible, it's not always easy, but it is possible.
