Note: Children of communion age are eligible to enroll in the Confraternity.

It is, therefore, to be desired that renewed zeal should be called forth in the founding, enlarging, and directing of these confraternities, and that not only by the sons of St. Dominic, to whom by virtue of their Order a leading part in this Apostolate belongs, but by all who are charged with the care of souls, and notable in those places in which the Confraternity has not yet been canonically established.
A Call to Shrines
I believe that their proposal, (To unite shrines through the Rosary Confraternity) is providentially in accord with my own vision for the renewal of the Archconfraternity of the Holy Rosary, using the sacramentals that have been available to the Dominican Order for
centuries. In particular, it is my hope that the great Marian Shrines of the world, which attract so many pilgrims each year, can become focal points for the Archconfraternity, and can thus aid us in promoting and preaching Our Lady’s Rosary, for the salvation of souls. This plan, I believe, is in accord with the Holy Father Pope Francis’s emphasis on evangelization through pilgrimages and popular devotion, and also his call for Shrines to become places of dialogue and encounter.

Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelization
Archbishop Rino Fisichella, President of the Pontifical Council, (sitting on the Holy Father's right) met with, Bishop Pierre-Olivier Tremblay, and Dennis and Angelina Girard, Directors of the Marian Devotional Movement early in 2021 to discuss the Confraternity renewal strategy through Marian shrines. He extended his apostolic blessing to them.
The Holy Father transferred the competences for shrines to the PCPNE on February 11th, 2018, the 160th anniversary of the apparitions at Lourdes. View the apostolic letter HERE
With the October 7th, 2021 release of the movie, Bridge of Roses: The Story of Our Lady of the Cape, both the renewal of the Rosary Confraternity and planning for Confraternity Congress 2025 are underway.
