Mindfulness and purpose in early childhood education is a return to the basics and true joy of working with children.
It is taking a moment to pause and think about what is important to us, as teachers to show young children. It is slowing down and adopting a minimalistic approach to programming where we reduce the noise in children's environments and bring down the pace of harried classrooms.
Mindful ECEs strive to create simple, purposeful and everyday programming practices that return the environment to the essential elements of early childhood education and care.
Be Mindful…..Have Purpose …. Make it Minimal.

So, a bit about me...
I'm an Ottawa girl who graduated university with a bachelor degree (English and Psychology) then early childhood education as part of the new intensive ECE program. Following these, I graduated the ECE Resource Teachers program before it closed.
My first jobs after graduation were as an assistant supervisor, then supervisor of a built for purpose school age program with the Ottawa school board. Once I had children of my own, I opened a licensed creative arts and homework program for children 4-12 years old.
As a 'side hustle' I taught adult ECE courses, and did placement supervison at my local college, which evolved into coordinating the program for many years.
Right now, I'm still a part time teacher and placement advisor wiht the college's online studies program.
Thank you for getting in touch!
I will get back to you shortly.
