Fanjingshan Mountain
Fanjingshan Mountain located in Tongren, Guizhou, is the highest peak of the Wuling Mountains reaching an elevation of 8,430 ft! Fanjingshan is a sacred mountain in Chinese Buddhism, and the sight was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2018.
The stunningly beautiful mountain's isolation has ensured a high level of biodiversity. Rare species such as the Guizhou golden monkey, Chinese giant salamander, forest musk deer, and reeve's pheasant are spotted in Fanjingshan.

Xijiang Qianhu is a spectacular village in Leishan County, Guizhou. The enchanting culture of the Miao ethnic group is well preserved, as it is the home of the largest group of Miao people in China!

Guizhou cuisine flavours are commonly sour and spicy at the same time. The spice is inspired by the Guizhou land. The steep terrain in Guizhou has always been able to grow chillies, even with the humid climate with lots of rainfall. The cold weather can lead to an increased probability of illness so people in Guizhou like to eat spicy food to keep it at bay. The sour tastes spring from the local traditions of fermenting food.
Zunyi Lamb Meat Noodles are a Guizhou classic. The dish is simmered slowly to perfection with rich meaty flavours and a spicy kick. The lamb is tender and the soup has a zingy taste, making the specialty an ideal meal to enjoy after a day of sightseeing in Guizhou.
Leijia Tofu Yuanzi is a famous snack originating in Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou. The dish has an interesting history, it is said after the emperor's death in 1874, the local people were informed to not eat any meat, so the tofu business began to then thrive. The delicious tofu balls are highly flavoured and will keep you going back for more.
Qianbei Spicy Chicken can be found in almost any local restaurant in Guizhou. The chicken is marinated in an abundance of spices creating a tantalizing aroma. Often enjoyed with hot pot, the delectable meal is a must try.
Siwawa is a delectable snack often served in Guizhou stemming from the 1800s. The thin pancake outside wraps around crunchy vegetables and is dipped into a spicy sauce. This vegetarian bite is easy to make and enjoyed by many.

Banyin Singing
Banyin singing is a form of folk music and singing that has been passed down from generation to generation among the Bouyei people. Guizhou is home to the lovely artform with a history of hundreds of years, Banyin singing is linked to Chinese opera music and Guizhou Province is key to it's development.
Flying Song
The Flying Song, known as "HXak Yeet" is a type of Hmong song. The songs tone is high and clear, so that the sound will vibrate throughout the mountain valleys of Guizhou. This type of song is mostly used for celebrations and is often improvised and sung on the spot! The lyrics are made up of encouraging sentiments of praise and thanks. You may hear this sung during festive events such as the Miao New Year and dragon boating.
