Do you ever feel like your thoughts spiral out of control, leaving you losing days to emotional turmoil, or you just want to get some of your thoughts out and onto paper so you can understand yourself on a much deeper level?
Following a bereavement in February 2018, I needed something to help me anchor down on the positive and clarify my thoughts. I wasn’t sure if journaling would help me, but I was prepared to give anything a go.
I’m glad to report that I fell in love with journaling and its now part of my daily personal, spiritual and business growth plan. Journaling helps us monitor those daily thoughts, feelings, and actions that we so often miss but are paramount to our health and well-being.
I found journaling to be a very powerful tool to gain clarity and insight especially during challenging times of loss and uncertainty. journaling helps cultivate a deeper connection with yourself and provides an outlet for mindfulness, calmness and promotes resilience.
My journal became like a therapist and a loyal friend who listened and allowed me to express all my thoughts and feelings without editing and feeling judged. There was no time restriction, no rules on what I wrote, and it helped me start to rebuild my life and take off the toxic edge that came when my mental health was trying to rent space in my head again.
Healing comes from understanding what we have learned through our experiences in life. Healing starts from within; it requires us to delve inwards and observe, reflect, take action and truly connect with ourselves. Confidence comes from the action we take. As we start to believe in ourselves, our lives begin to change for the better.

After years of struggling with depression, anxiety and grief, Angie was introduced to personal development in 2014, which helped her gain the confidence to make better choices and change her and her daughter’s lives for the better.
In February 2018, Angie had to deal with the sudden death of her mother and the hateful words and actions of those she once called family all over again, but this time she was different. Finding her mother’s diary led Angie to start journaling, something she had heard about on her path of self-discovery and recovery but never understood or could find the right one for her.
This created an even bigger turning point in Angie`s life, she found an even bigger way to handle her grief and pain. After some trial and error, Angie created `How am I feeling today? `
Angie is now helping many others gain more clarity, connection, and inner growth by improving their mindset and personal growth, with the use of her journaling practice, personal development and her own 7-week mind management program.
