I have always adored well crafted stories with great characters that leap off the page. I get sucked in by books where extraordinary things happen in our everyday world. I absolutely love the thrill of discovering a new series that I can't put down. I was lucky enough to grow up during a golden age of science fiction and became totally addicted to books by Issac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke, and Frank Herbert. 

The Apollo moon landings also had a profound effect on me leading to my life long love of astronomy and science. My favourite film of all time is Blade Runner because, in essence, it's a story about what it is to be human. I certainly can't get enough of shows like Stranger Things and Fringe, and can even fondly remember The Twilight Zone and Outer Limits for their great storytelling. 

I quite literally dream science fiction.

So who is this Nick Cook guy whose book you just clicked the link for? Well, I'm the British sci-fi author of Fractured Light and the Cloud Riders trilogies, The Signal, and the Earth Song series (very X-Files).

I'm what's known as a hybrid author, someone who was originally traditionally published with twelve years of experience but who has taken the huge leap across to indie and is now having the time of his life.
