WHO IS BEX & POSITIVELY TOGETHER?
I am a KPA Certified Training Partner and have been training animals with positive reinforcement for over 20 years. I work with horse owners all over the world, but my Positively Together youth programs have been expanding rapidly since 2018 and have become a special passion. We love empowering kids to experience the power of reward-based training and see learning and communication in action as they work hands-on with our friendly trained sheep, horses, chickens, dogs, cows, pigs and more.
Positively Together offers 'Junior Animal Trainer' multi-species classes, 'PupStars' classes for kids and their dogs, horsemanship and riding lessons, and a series of very popular online Zoom classes for homeschoolers. The flagship 'Next Gen Trainers' membership program for tweens and teens remains our heart project, with the monthly workshops and strong community providing a safe anchor for kids during challenging teenage years.
WHY "SHAPING THE FUTURE"?
I regularly receive enquiries from trainers around the world wanting advice on how to offer similar programs. Consequently, I have guided many people through this process, from sanctuaries or petting zoos planning multi-species animal classes, to therapy dogs working in schools, to stables incorporating positive reinforcement into existing horsemanship and riding lesson programs, to animal-loving parents wanting to offer holiday activities for local children.
I'm a firm believer that "All of us are smarter than one of us"! Therefore, launching in early 2023 is a BRAND NEW offering for our training community – “Shaping the Future”. This is a coaching collective and community where those of us who are interested and involved in (or would like to be involved in) teaching kids and animals, can come together. It is a place to share ideas and advice, gain support, get inspired, and ultimately get started with changing the world!
