After my son was born in 2016, it took me a while to get used to my new role as a mother. I felt insecure and I was struggling to find a balance between being a working mom, a partner, and a woman.
In 2019, I also discovered that I had PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder), which turned my mood and my relationship with my son upside down every month.
Through the years, I had lots of support and I developed strategies to work around my insecurities and hormonal challenges. Since 2020 I am using this well-filled toolbox to help mothers with similar experiences to transition into motherhood.
Being an expat myself, I know of the importance to communicate in your native language in some situations and so I provide mentoring in German, English, and Dutch.
