Welcome to our strong and supportive international ELT community!

Well.....The story begins 6 conferences ago...

At the moment of coming up with the idea of launching a Teacher’s Voice format as a long run educational event where teachers and educators from all over the world could meet, talk, find some practical ideas, get inspired and motivated, I did not have a clue that one day it would get one more meaning - helping my country get its peace back, helping my people get their lives back. No one knew - up to February 24, 2022….

Welcome to the registration page of the educational marathon for English language teachers who make a difference in teaching, learning and other people’s lives

This registration page differs from what you have seen before. It is less commercial and hopefully more like a heart-to-heart. I really tried to arrange it in a way where you can feel like you are at home since it is exactly what lots of us are lacking these days.

🇺🇦 If you are a Ukrainian teacher, please know that teachers from other countries support you and admire that you continue doing your job well whether you are in Ukraine or were forced to leave your native land.

🌏 If you are a teacher from any other country in the world, please know that Ukrainian educators are really grateful for your support and for standing next to us in these challenging times.

GRAB A CUP OF COFFEE AND LET ME TELL YOU WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT....

Grab a cup of coffee or your favourite tea and let me tell you what stands behind this event. The first idea that comes to my mind is to say something well-known like sharing is caring. Yes, it is. But it does not explain the depth of this initiative.

This time you will be participating in 20+ short talks where brilliant speakers from different parts of the world will be sharing concrete teaching tips, instruments, and techniques for you to use the very next day. They are not a theory - they are ready-made materials. I want this marathon to have the motto of Teaching for Peace since I believe that the collection of 20+ materials will bring some peace to your teaching life and will make it at least a little easier and even more enjoyable.

The materials are lesson plans, ready-made activities, guidelines, checklists, you name it. All the materials are unique and created by our amazing presenters as well as other talented educators who decided to contribute their materials for the sake of our goal - teaching for peace.

Free: April 30, 2023

Start: 10:00 AM Ukrainian Time

00 Days
00 Hours
00 Mins
00 Secs

Your active participation in the marathon is completely free: just click 'Registration' or scroll down to the registration section, leave your contact details, and get further instructions and updates about the speakers, agenda, and some info about what is waiting for you during the event.

Access to the materials, as well as the certificate of attendance, will be provided at a fee. Why?

This is another reason why this event has the idea of #teachingforpeace. Your financial support ($15, which is affordable and more than a fair price for 30+ materials) will be part of the money collection campaign for people in Ukraine and will allow us to make a tiny but valuable contribution that will take us one step closer to achieving the long-awaited peace we all desire.

If you haven’t seen videos on what Ukrainians face in de-occupied territories, please do. It will give you a real understanding of the situation. I don’t want to manipulate this topic but on the other hand, I feel like I want to remind the world about Bucha, Irpin, Izium, Kherson, and hundreds of similar places where people lost their homes - homes they built physically and homes that they built in people they love.

The funds collected will be sent to the humanitarian department of the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation and are intended for providing humanitarian aid to civilians in the de-occupied and front-line territories. Currently, the humanitarian department focuses on 4 directions:

  • urgent humanitarian aid for frontline and de-occupied communities

  • medical equipment and supplies for medical state institutions

  • equipping heating and communication centres in frontline and de-occupied communities

  • temporary housing solutions in stable de-occupied communities

Since I expect you are now in a safe place and maybe even drinking your tea at home, I would like to ask you to look around and see how many things we sometimes take for granted. And it is in our power to stretch a helping hand and give people the chance to drink their tea in a safe and warm place like hopefully many of us do.

Meet our Speakers:

This section will be constantly updated, so I would encourage you to check it out quite often. As soon as you register for the conference, you will be getting emails with all the announcements, so that you will not miss any information or updates. What I can promise is that you will be pleasantly surprised and wholeheartedly satisfied with the content the speakers are going to present. Because everything we do (and you are on this list), we do it because we want to become better versions of ourselves, personally and professionally.

The speaker lineup for the conference is presented in the announcement cards which you can find by clicking on a presenter's photo. It is done deliberately so that it is easy for you to view and share on your social media platforms. You can simply save the image and post it to your favorite social media to let your friends and colleagues know about the exciting speakers we have lined up for the conference and help spread the word.
