Stress, multitasking, live events, injuries, surgery and other factors can influence the level of tension we hold in our body, posture and mobility. The accumulation of many life events can also create a reduction in resilience to challenges that we may face. Within this workshop, Heidi Hadley will delve into how your nervous system is tracking everything that you have encountered in your life, right up to today! She will teach you how these subconscious or unconscious habits and behaviours show up. Within this workshop, Heidi will hold a mini Total Somatic movement session to give you the experience of what it feels like to allow your brain to let go of stress that continues to hold your body tense and tight.
Our session together is for our own essential rest, recovery, connect and rejuvenation. It is a gentle un-doing, where we explore the meaning of "Less is More."
This practice is for us to welcome all that is present. We'll begin as we did the day we arrived into this world...with our breath. Slowly we'll move into simple soft Yoga postures and gently find inquiry. Inquiry helps us see the structures that may bind us, and resource the freedom that waits to release us.
The moment is aimed more at the fluid nature of the body and not so much the demands of a specific posture. This is a practice to refresh, breathe better and discover the power of relaxation and Yoga Nidra.

"My passion and purpose are to teach self-love through meditation. I am 100% committed to helping as many children, teens and now adults learn how to meditate, and other skills, that will help them feel safe, worthy and empowered."
I'm honoured Julia has asked me to open your retreat with a meditation. Being a single mum for over 17 years now, I know how easy it can be to put everyone's needs above your own... your child(ren), partner, family, pets etc. I've made a lot of progress, although I am still learning to have healthy boundaries, say no, and 'put my oxygen mask on before my child' as they instruct on flights ... remember them!?
In this session, I would like to share with you tips that really help me 'fill my own cup' and take good care of myself with balance, perception and meditation.
Together we will create a magical, healing start to your weekend! I am so looking forward to meeting you.
Love Zoe X
Journaling has many benefits. It helps you to clarify your thoughts and feelings, solve problems, rediscover more about yourself, give you some direction, reduce stress, practice being mindful, help you reach goals, and allow you to track patterns, improvement and growth you experience over time.
Whether this is your first time journaling, or you are a regular, doesn't matter. In this session I will provide you with some journaling prompts as we sit together and get some thoughts, feelings and ideas on to paper.

The more we know about ourselves and understand ourselves, the more connected to ourselves we are, and the better we can be.
What kind of role model do you want to be for your children, loved ones or others? Sometimes we refer to this as being our "Best-Self'.
This notion of who we want to be – who our best self is – provides a valuable touchstone to remember at the many forks in the road we will encounter on the journey of divorce, separation, being a single mum, or just life in general.
In this session, we'll deep dive into finding out who we are as our best selves so that we can live in a way, and experience the relationships we have with our kids, ex-partners/co-parents, friends, colleagues, family members, and new partners, that we are proud of.

Only you can answer that, but I do think, as single mums, we tend to put ourselves on the bottom of the priority list. But guess what? You investing in your self-care, not only makes you a better mum, but it also role models great behaviour for your kids!
Unfortunately there are no refunds for this event, unless, as mentioned above, you join Thrive Tribe the next time the doors open (as an annual member) - then you will get 50% of the Wellness Weekend refunded to you.
