'The aim of this workshop is to promote activities that encourage learners to draw on their existing language knowledge to practise speaking naturally in English.
The aim of the activities that I will be sharing is not to encourage accuracy, but, instead, to allow learners opportunities to speak with each other naturally, using their current English language resources.
We will look first at the essentials of using fluency activities in the classroom and then we will look at several activities for different levels, concentrating on how to set these up, as well as the benefits and possible drawbacks of each activity.' Paul Harvey.

Paul Harvey has been a teacher of English for 38 years:
